Working with us

As a farmer and gardener development organization, SPROUT pitches into our community food system in several different ways: managing a community garden, cooperatively selling produce for farmers, coordinating a weekly market, supporting partner community gardens, and providing resources and support to farmers. We do organizing and policy work on a local and state level and work to fill the gaps making our food system stronger and more just. Most of the roles at SPROUT are multifaceted, and work both autonomously and in collaboration with others on staff on several projects at a time.

We are dedicated to building a team of individuals who:

• are culturally diverse and intergenerational

• share alignment with SPROUT’s mission, vision, and values

• have an understanding or connection to Louisiana’s food system and farming sector, and the impacts of climate change

• have deep passion for principles of food sovereignty.
